About Fauna Flora Environmental Conservation Ltd
We are a Ugandan-registered NGO based in Jinja. We exist to solve two problems at once: pineapple waste burning that pollutes our air, and youth unemployment.
Our Story:
After seeing tons of pineapple peels dumped and burned in Jinja markets, we started FAEC in 2023 to train farmers and youth to turn that waste into valuable products. In 2024, we were honored as ACFLO Organization of the Year for coordinating the first African Congress for Local Organizations summit in Uganda.

Our Team:
Led by Ugandans, for Ugandans. We partner with local farmer groups, youth associations, and the Jinja District Local Government.
